Andes Gravity Full Day
Andes Gravity Full Day is a private full-day MTB enduro ride from Quito into Ecuador's northern Andean riding zones, designed for riders already in the country who want one serious day on the bike. The route is selected by Gravity Lines according to rider level, trail conditions, access, weather and timing. Depending on the day, the ride may move through areas such as Aloburo, Chota, Pimampiro, Mariano Acosta, La Esperanza, Gallo Rumi / Dos de Todo or other selected northern Andean lines. The day usually begins with a controlled first descent to evaluate confidence, pace and bike control before building toward longer, faster or more technical terrain if conditions allow. Built around riding quality rather than a fixed trail checklist, this experience focuses on natural terrain, long descents, private logistics and the best conditions available in the northern Andes that day. Bike and protection rentals can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability and advance request.

Ride flow
Andes Gravity Full Day
01
Early departure from Quito
The day begins with an early departure from Quito. Because this is a full-day ride with significant transfer time, timing matters β the earlier the group leaves, the more room there is to ride, adapt the route and make the most of the day. This product is built for riders who want to spend the day riding, not sitting through a fixed sightseeing schedule.
02
Route selection & rider assessment
The first riding section is usually selected to evaluate rider level, confidence, pace and bike control. From there, the day can build toward longer descents, more technical terrain, higher speed or additional riding volume, depending on conditions and ability. This keeps the day flexible without turning it into a random ride: Gravity Lines manages the route progression to match the rider while protecting safety, timing and riding quality. The final route is selected by the guide according to the best available combination of rider level, trail access, terrain condition, weather and daylight.
03
Big ride format
Andes Gravity Full Day is built around riding quality, not a fixed checklist. The day may include one major descent or several lines, depending on the selected zone, trail conditions, access, daylight, rider level and group rhythm. Terrain may include loose dirt, natural flowlines, cultivated mountain corridors, highland routes, dry valley descents or more technical Andean terrain. A fortified box lunch is included to keep the day moving and avoid losing riding time to a long restaurant stop.
04
Dinner stop in Ibarra & return to Quito
After the riding portion of the day, the group stops for dinner in Ibarra before returning to Quito. Dinner is not included, and each rider pays directly for their own food, drinks and personal consumption. This dinner stop is part of the day's rhythm β recovery food after a full day of riding β before the final drive back to Quito.

Ride logistics & support
Andes Gravity Full Day is operated as a private ride with vehicle support, guide-led route management and flexible trail selection. The day is planned around early departure, efficient transfers, riding quality and realistic timing. Because routes, access and conditions can change, Gravity Lines does not guarantee a fixed list of trails or a fixed number of descents. The guide selects the best route combination for the day based on safety, rider level, weather, trail status and available time. The value of this ride is not in checking off a named trail list β it is in having a properly managed, private, full-day riding experience shaped by the best available conditions. Bike and protection rentals can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability. We recommend requesting rental equipment at least one week in advance to secure the right size and setup; last-minute requests may be possible if suitable bikes, protection and partner support are available.
Rider & ride information
Riding style & difficulty
Designed for experienced riders who want a serious riding day from Quito. The terrain and intensity depend on the selected route and rider level β the day can be adjusted toward flow, technical terrain, longer descents or higher riding volume. The ride usually begins with a more controlled line to evaluate ability before progressing into stronger terrain if conditions allow. Riders should be comfortable with natural terrain, loose surfaces, changing grip, line choice, descending and full-day mountain logistics. This is a ride-focused product β not built around sightseeing, fixed trail promises or casual pacing.
Fitness requirement
Moderate to high. This is a full-day ride with early departure, transfer time, repeated riding effort and potentially long descents. Riders should be comfortable spending a full day in mountain conditions, with sections that may include pedaling, pushing or extended time on the bike. Final riding volume depends on rider level, daylight, trail conditions and timing.
Weather & conditions
The northern Andean riding zones offer some of the most reliable and flexible riding conditions in Ecuador. Weather can vary from one valley to another, and rain in Quito or Ibarra does not necessarily mean poor conditions in the Chota Valley or nearby dry mountain areas. Because much of this terrain is dry, open and desert-like, the ride often remains possible even when surrounding areas have rain. Route selection may still adapt to access, rider level, terrain quality and timing β the objective is to ride the best available terrain, not force a fixed route.
Food & recovery
A fortified box lunch is included to support the ride day and reduce time lost to long food stops β practical ride-day support, not a formal restaurant meal. After the riding portion, the group stops for dinner in Ibarra before returning to Quito; dinner is not included, and each rider pays directly for their own meal, drinks and personal consumption. Extra drinks, snacks, alcoholic beverages and personal consumption outside the included box lunch are not included unless stated.
Equipment rentals
Enduro bike rentals may be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability and advance request. Protective gear rental may also be available β available protection may include gloves, knee pads and a full-face or open-face helmet, depending on sizing and availability. Additional protective equipment is not included unless confirmed in advance. Because bike size and gear fit matter for comfort and safety, rental requests should ideally be made at least one week before the ride; last-minute bookings may still be possible if suitable equipment is available.
Safety & support
The ride operates under a private, guide-led structure with route management, vehicle support and pace coordination throughout the day. Riders follow guide instructions, respect regrouping points and ride within their ability. Route selection, riding volume and technical progression are managed according to rider level, trail conditions, timing and safety; the first ride section helps the guide evaluate pace, confidence and control before increasing difficulty.
Insurance
Personal travel and medical insurance with mountain biking coverage is strongly recommended. For last-minute bookings, local ride insurance is not automatically included, as coverage may require advance coordination with the provider. If the ride is booked at least one week in advance, Gravity Lines may arrange local ride insurance as part of the service, subject to provider confirmation and required rider information. Riders remain responsible for ensuring their personal insurance adequately covers mountain biking, adventure sports, medical treatment and travel needs.
Built for riders who are already in Ecuador and want one serious day on the bike β flexible, private, ride-focused and shaped by the best Andean conditions available that day.
